Simply Sweet Baby Quilt
The is such a great pattern...I designed this around some lovely heavy baby flannel I found at a local shop (Cotton Patch, you rock!) I just could not resist it. It a fat quarter quilt, really simple, the fun is in the great big patches and also in the layout. I had it quilted in a medium size stipple and finished it with a striped flannel from the same collection. I will get a pic of the finished quilt up here soon. Its a real joy to wrap that baby up in this quilt!

For my new Behive buddies
Wow, its been a while since I posted anything here, huh? But just now I put up some of my Finished Objects.
The Walled Garden is my favorite so far, I've always really liked these colors together. If it fits this one is going back and forth between my bed and the couch all winter long.
Greenbaum's Star Quilt was in honor of Greenbaum's Quilted Forest being voted one of the 20 best quilt shops in the US and Canada....here's the link http://quiltedforest.com/. The pattern is in the magazine, although it took a little fiddling becuase it was published with a couple mistakes. The blocks are really easy, and the stars aren't bad, either, but I recommend giving yourself more than two weeks to finish :)
Glamour Girls was inspired by the border fabric, which I fell in love with. Unfortunately, I didn't get to choose the pattern or the accent fabrics, because I would have put more white into it. Later on I bought the last Kit for this quilt, intending to make shams and such, but the longer I live with it, the more I think I will just make a different quilt with the same fabrics. This one must have pleased a few other people, though, because all the kits sold and when I entered it into the county fair it got 1st in its category. Hmmm, wonder where that picture is....
OK, that's a few of them. There are, of course, about 5 more in various stages of finish. I send my quilting out so they get finished faster. Totally worth the money.

Yes, blog...good...uh...you give try...
OK, I like this. Its fun! Drie has started one, too, and Lilly will be starting one later. I think they're going to get all their friends going, too. Its better than myspace in some ways, safer.
Drie, Lilly, and Lilly's friend Bree are writing on the walls in the dining room. I will be interested to hear what Chris has to say about it when he gets home. They asked it they could, and at first I thought....noooooo, then I decided it would encourage me to finish the walls in there! Any form of motivation I can find....
Phoebe had a good time with some chocolate cake batter (see photo) so now she is in the bath.
I have a new nickname for Sara...Wookie; she has big furry feet and makes wookie sounds...really! Ask my mom if you don't believe me.
I got my desk cleaned off today and an interesting thing happened...anyone with something to put down puts it down on my clean desk. I wonder if I should move my desk, or post a sign on it, or make it messy again....

Just Gettin' Started
I've been reading other people's blogs thinking its kinda cool to be able to let people know what's going on in your life without having to send each person an email. We have a lot of friends and family that we would like to keep in touch with but not really enough time to reach everyone regularly. On the other hand, what am I doing spending THIS time?
Phoebe is in my room tearing things up. Yesterday I decided I will re-arrange a few things in there so she can be in there more often; I let her go in and get started today!
The dogs are sleeping, Chris is working, Drie and Lilly are at school. I have been researching ways to sell my finished quilts, and avoid copyright problems while doing it. I've also been looking at rescue shelters to find a little boy dog who needs a home. There's a batch of them coming into Vancouver BC from Katrina country this week, and since Mary B. and Michael just moved up there it could be a fun trip.
I'm gonna put up a few pictures here, too. I wonder how long it will take me to figure that out?
